Woman, 78, dies in Lexington hospital after Laurel County crash
Jones was in the front passenger seat of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala northbound on U.S. 25, near London around noon Tuesday, when it struck a car stopped in traffic, according to a release from the Laurel County sheriff’s office. The car carrying Jones and driver, Ernie Jones 77, traveled into a ditch on Robinson Road, off the westbound shoulder of the highway, the release stated. The other car involved was knocked off the road onto the eastbound shoulder with “severe damage” to the rear.
