Brown was transported to Breckenridge Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, and after being released was charged with manslaughter in the second degree and operating a motor vehicle under the influence in the first degree. Brown was lodged in the Breckinridge County Jail.

Irvington man killed in suspected drunk driving crash

Brown, 21, is charged with second-degree manslaughter and DUI. He is being held at the Breckinridge County jail after being treated for minor injuries at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, according to KSP and Breckinridge County jail records.

Kentucky State Police Post are investigating a two vehicle accident in which one person was killed, according to police. William Brown, 21, of Irvington was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, and that he was traveling west on US 60. James L. Dupin, 43, of Irvington was driving a 2004 Ford Focus, heading east on US 60. Police say Brown's vehicle crossed the center line and struck Dupin’s vehicle head on, and Dupin was pronounced dead at the scene. Brown was taken to Breckenridge Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and later released. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.
