The driver of the red and silver truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the other truck was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.
Identity of driver killed on Dixie Highway revealed
Police say 53-year-old Linus Kromenacker was driving a red and silver GMC truck when he crossed the center median, colliding with a blue pickup.
It happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 4900 block of Dixie Highway near Lewiston Drive.

Kromenacker, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
The other driver was taken to University Hospital with what police described as "serious injuries."
“It was just like a big explosion, just a big boom, real quick and after that we saw debris flying. I was parking a customer's car right pretty much in front of where it happened but heard just a really loud explosion,” said Brandon Darland, who works nearby.
Police have not yet determined if speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the crash.
