Manslick Rd. motorcycle accident victim identified

LMPD was on the scene of the accident in Louisville on Friday evening.The motorcyclist involved in the crash was reportedly not wearing a helmet. Traffic around the crash was stopped while LMPD investigated.

Coroner identifies man who died in motorcycle wreck on Third Street Road

LMPD received a call at about 8:15 p.m. reporting a motorcycle accident. Witnesses told police they saw the man driving his motorcycle very fast down Third Street Road when he lost control and was thrown off the bike.

Louisville Metro Police say a portion of Third Street Road is shut down following a motorcycle accident Friday evening. Third Street Road reopened overnight Friday into Saturday morning.

LMPD received a call at about 8:15 p.m. reporting a motorcycle accident. Witnesses told police they saw the man driving his motorcycle very fast down Third Street Road when he lost control and was thrown off the bike.

Police say he was transported to University Hospital in critical condition. Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley says the man later died.

The Jefferson County Coroner identified the man as 43-year-old Tony Adams of Louisville. According to the coroner, Adams died of multiple injuries sustained in the crash.

According to police, he was not wearing helmet.
