The woman was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating.
Two dead after apparent murder-suicide near Poplar Level Road
Witnesses tell WDRB they first saw the SUV driving erratically on Lincoln Avenue and then heard gunshots. That's when the car the woman was driving smashed into Franck's Body Shop. The man reportedly got out of the car, approached the window of the SUV, shot the woman and then shot himself.

A man is dead and a woman was rushed to an area hospital with critical injuries after an incident that ended with a vehicle hitting a building near Poplar Level Road. Around 9:50 p.m. Monday the woman, who was driving a black Mercury Mountaineer, was being followed on the Watterson Expressway by a man driving a silver Nissan Altima.Witnesses told officers the vehicles got off the expressway and the woman drove through the parking lot and a fence on the Frisch's Big Boy property, then she continued to drive until she hit the garage doors of Franck Bros. Body Shop.
