Police: Attempted traffic stop leads to S. Louisville accident

A preliminary investigation has indicated the officer resumed patrolling and a short time later, the Kia, which was driving northbound, came out of a blind alley between Lutz and Woodruff.
A police officer and three other people - including a young child - were transported to hospitals after a collision following a traffic stop on Saturday. The three adults - the officer, the male driver of the other car and his female passenger - were transported to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the car sped away when the officer attempted a traffic stop. The officer continued patrolling the area looking for the car, driving east on Carlisle Avenue, and collided into it when it came out of an alley between Woodruff Avenue and Lentz Avenue.
