Teen injured in rollover accident

A teenage girl was injured in an accident Thursday after her car overturned in Logan County. The 17-year-old was driving on Old Greenville Road in the Auburn area when she swerved to avoid hitting a deer standing in the road, causing the Ford Mustang convertible she was driving to hit an embankment and roll over, according to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department. The car slid about 20 to 25 feet before coming to a stop on its top.  The girl, whose name was not released, was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
