Maggie K. Adams, 19, of Calvert City, was a passenger in McGregor's vehicle. She told sheriff's deputies that Burkeen swerved suddenly into the path of McGregor. McGregor swerved to try to avoid a collision, but the vehicles collided nearly head on around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
