The Calloway County Sheriff's Office says on Sunday they responded to a three vehicle accident at the intersection of KY 80 and KY 299.
Wreck on KY 80 results in death over weekend
Sgt. Charles Tidwell, who responded to the scene, reported that Lois Garrett, 79, of Murray, told deputies that she had stopped her passenger vehicle at a stop sign at the intersection of KY 80 and KY 299. She claimed she did not see Litchfield or her husband, Jeremiah, 34, who were traveling eastbound on separate motorcycles alongside each other.

A car driven by Lois Garrett, 79, was traveling south on KY 299 and stopped at the stop sign at the intersetion of KY 80 and KY 299. The driver did not see two motorcycles that were traveling east on KY 80 and started to cross the road, hitting both motorcycles. The driver of the car, and the riders of both motorcycles were taken to a local hospital. Shanna Litchfield, the rider of one of the motorcycles, was pronounced dead at the hospital. No word on the condition of the other people.
