Tandy McElwee Jr., 76, died following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 49 in Alexandria, Louisiana

Around 10:50 a.m., Louisiana State Police responded to the crash near Mile Post 78 that killed Tandy McElwee Jr. Investigation revealed that McElwee was traveling north on I-49 when his vehicle traveled off the roadway, entered the median and hit the cable barrier.
