30-year-old Donaldsonville man dies in crash on La. 3089, hit 18-wheeler

The crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on La. 3089 north of La. 70 in Donaldsonville. A 30-year-old Donaldsonville man, identified as Oscar Bennett III, rear-ended an 18-wheeler and was killed in the crash on Friday (June 26), according to Louisiana State Police. Bennett was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban and was behind an 2006 Kenworth 18-wheeler, driven by 57-year-old Carlos Julien of Donaldsonville.
