A Eunice man was killed early Thursday when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle on La. 13 north of La. 365 in Acadia Parish, State Police reported.

Eric Bischoff was driving on La. 13 when for unknown reasons his car crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle being driven by Gerald Fields in the opposite direction. Neither driver was wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Bischoff was pronounced dead at the scene; Fields was hospitalized with minor injuries. It is currently unknown if alcohol was involved in this crash.
