Texas man ejected from vehicle, dies after accident on I-10 in St. John Parish

Martinez was driving west around 4 p.m. and attempted to pass another vehicle when he lost control of his Ford 2007. He left the road and crashed into the tree line, the release says.
A 25-year-old Texas man was ejected from his vehicle and killed Thursday after he apparently lost control of the vehicle and crashed into trees on the side of Interstate 10. Louisiana State Police identified the driver as Jorge Garcia Martinez of Hidalgo, Texas. Authorities say Martinez was not wearing a seatbelt.  An autopsy is pending to determine whether Martinez may have been impaired.
