1 killed in wreck at Almonaster and Old Gentilly

One person was killed in a traffic wreck Thursday morning (Nov. 19) at Almonaster Avenue and Old Gentilly Road in New Orleans. An emergency medical services crew was dispatched to the wreck at 10:18 a.m., said spokeswoman Elizabeth Belcher, who confirmed the fatality. New Orleans police said they were gathering information on the wreck.
