Victim of fatal Pearl River traffic accident identified as 23-year-old Gulfport woman

The driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal crash on Interstate 59 near Pearl River Sunday has been identified as Tonya Sanchez, 23, who is believed to be of Gulfport, Miss., according to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office. 
Tonya Sanchez, 23, struck a tree at about 2 p.m. off of I-59 northbound near Pearl River, Louisiana. Sanchez, who was alone in the car, was extracted from the vehicle and transported to Ochsner Northshore in Slidell, where she later died of her injuries.
