Shreveport police release names of crash victims
A man and woman killed in a fiery crash Wednesday morning have been identified.
At approximately 12:09 a.m. on May 14, 2014, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a major crash at the intersection of Robinson Place and Creswell Avenue. Upon arrival there, officers discovered a Chevrolet pick-up truck that had left the roadway and struck a large tree on the north side of Robinson Place. The vehicle subsequently caught on fire and officials with the Shreveport Fire Department were already on scene and extinguished the blaze. Authorities discovered a male and a female in the truck, both of whom were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash victims have been officially identified as 19-year-old Megan Rogers and 20-year-old Blake Fritz, both of Shreveport. The investigation into the crash remains active.
