3 Taken to Hospitals Following Crash Involving Sheriffs Dept. SUV in Bangor

3 people were taken to hospitals after a head-on collision in Bangor involving a Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department SUV. It happened on Outer Hammond Street around 12:30 pm Tuesday. The sheriff’s office says a car carrying two women and a dog crossed the center line and struck the S-U-V. Responders say both vehicles were totaled. The deputy riding in the SUV was treated for minor injuries, we’re told. No word on the condition of the women riding in the other car. The dog was taken to a vet by Bangor firefighters.
