The woman, whose name was not immediately released pending notification of family members, was crossing in a crosswalk near the Bath post office when she was struck by a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Edward Buzzell of Bath, Bath police Lt. Robert Savary said.

A 70-year-old woman died Wednesday morning when she was struck by a vehicle as she crossed Washington Street heading to work at Bath Iron Works, police said.
