Catonsville Man Suffers Critical Injuries in Motorcycle Crash
A 27-year-old man was flown to Shock Trauma with critical injuries Tuesday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a car in Ellicott City, according to Howard County Police.
Around 4:54 p.m, Brandon Corey of Catonsville was traveling northbound on his Yamaha motorcycle on Route 108 at Falls Run Road when 66 year-old Laurence Elwin Everett, traveling southbound, turned left in his Honda Accord in front of the motorcycle.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
