An Owings Mills man was killed Sunday morning after his car crashed into the back of a tractor trailer on the Baltimore Beltway in Pikesville, officials said.
An Owings Mills man was killed Sunday morning after his car crashed into the back of a tractor trailer on the Baltimore Beltway in Pikesville, officials said.
Bennie Lee Shaw Jr., 34, was driving on the outer loop of the Beltway near Greenspring Avenue at 4:36 a.m. when his 2005 Audi A8 rear-ended a 1999 International tractor trailer, according to the Maryland State Police.
Shaw was trapped in the car and was rescued by Baltimore County firefighters, but was declared dead at the scene, according to the Maryland State Police.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
