Maryland State Police said Demonte Johnson, of Indian Head, Md., was walking just after 8 p.m. near the westbound lane of Hawthorne Road near Chicamuxen Road when she was struck by a 2005 Cadillac STS driven by a 36-year-old Waldorf woman.
