WASHINGTON — One person is dead after a four-vehicle crash on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway approaching the Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Oxon Hill, Maryland. The main or Thru Lanes approaching the bridge are closed because of the crash. Prince George’s County Fire  spokesman Mark Brady tweets that three other people are being taken to hospitals. The accident occurred before 7 a.m.

Fatal crash closes express lanes of Capital Beltway near Woodrow Wilson bridge

A serious crash Friday morning that has left one person dead has closed the express lanes of the Capital Beltway’s inner loop near the Woodrow Wilson bridge. Authorities in Prince George’s County’s fire department also said the crash left one person dead. Few details were immediately available and it was not known how long the lanes would be closed. The traffic delays were mounting throughout the morning. At least four people were trapped and firefighters were working to extricate two of them.
