Monday morning, a motorcyclist lost his life when he collided with a trash truck in Thurmont, Md. Maryland State Police say that troopers responded to the scene on southbound Rt. 15 at North Franklinville Road at approximately 5:08 a.m.

Maryland State Police said the two-vehicle crash happened at 5:08 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2014 on southbound Rt. 15 at North Franklinville Road in Thurmont.

Monday morning, a motorcyclist lost his life when he collided with a trash truck in Thurmont, Md.
Maryland State Police say that a 2006 International trash truck was traveling from North Franklinville Road across the southbound lanes of Rt. 15. At the same time, a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle operated by 55-year-old James Bertram Boehner of Orrtanna, Pennsylvania, was traveling southbound on Rt. 15.
Boehner then struck the rear driver's side of the trash truck.
The trash truck driver was not injured. He told police he didn't see the motorcycle when he was pulling across the road, say police.
