Authorities say two people are dead and one person injured after a car went off an overpass in Prince George’s County.

Two people were killed when their SUV fell from an overpass near National Harbor early Monday morning, Prince George's County Police said.

A man and a woman were killed and another man was injured when their SUV barreled off an overpass in the Oxon Hill area of Prince George’s County and crashed to the roadway beneath it, authorities said.

A man and a woman, identified as Aayoni Williams 30, and James Monroe Henderson, 45, were killed and another man was injured when their SUV barreled off an overpass in the Oxon Hill area of Prince George’s County and crashed to the roadway beneath it, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 2 a.m. A Prince George’s County police spokesman, said the SUV’s driver lost control as he headed north on the Indian Head Highway to Oxon Hill Road.

A man who was driving the SUV and a woman in the vehicle were killed, and another man in the SUV suffered injuries not thought to be life-threatening, Bond said. He said investigators were still working to determine what prompted the driver to lose control.

Police did not immediately identify those killed because their family members had not yet been notified of their deaths.
