An elderly woman was struck and killed by a car Thursday night as she crossed Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington with a walker, police said.

Police in Arlington are investigating a crash that killed a 77-year-old woman from Boston.

That woman was near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Orvis Street around 10 p.m. on Thursday when she was struck by a car.
She was taken to the hospital, where she later passed away. Her identity has not been released.
The driver involved in the crash, 67-year-old Paul Giragosian has been charged with operating without a license and failure to yield to a pedestrian.
Police are continuing to investigate.
