Olivera Mora arrested in death of girl struck by car on sidewalk on Olney Street in Dorchester, Massachusetts

7-year-old girl was killed and her mother was seriously injured Tuesday when an out of control sports utility vehicle hit the two on a Dorchester sidewalk, Boston police said. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Olivia Mora, of Concord, N.H., will face charges of motor vehicle homicide and driving under the influence, police said. The incident happened on Olney Street about 2:15 p.m., as the girl and her mother were walking from the Holland Elementary School, just a block away, according to police. Mora was traveling at a high rate of speed according to Boston police when she struck a parked Acura, continued onto the curb, knocked down a hydrant, struck the mother and daughter, and then crashed through a fence and into a dirt yard.
