Driver charged with DUI in Rochester crash, police say(link is external)

Police said Davis was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol. Authorities said a medical helicopter was hindered by the inclement weather, so Davis and Taliaferro were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The passenger, Sarah Taliaferro, 37, of Milton, was trapped inside the car. Rochester police said a Nissan Sentra, driven by John Davis, 34, of Dover, was traveling east on Washington Street on Tuesday shortly before 10 a.m., when it veered onto a sidewalk and hit a utility pole.
