TEWKSBURY (CBS) '€” A construction worker was seriously hurt after being struck by an alleged drunk driver on Route 38 early Friday morning in Tewksbury. Cataldo is accused of hitting the Brox Construction Company worker, who was working on an overnight road construction project, around 2:30 a.m. Domenic Cataldo, 29, of Tewksbury, has been charged with operating under the influence of liquor resulting in serious injury, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Catalado was scheduled to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on Friday. Route 38 was shut down for about three hours while police investigated.

Overnight construction worker struck and critically injured

The Lowell Sun reported that Tewksbury police said the unidentified construction worker was first taken to Lowell General Hospital, but was later airlifted to Brigham and Woman's Hospital trauma center in Boston.
