Trooper Chris Lipiec said firefighters required the Jaws of Life to extricate the female and she was taken to a hospital. Lipiec, who is attached to the Shelburne Falls barracks, said he did not yet know the extent of her injuries. The right lane of the interstate remains closed. Additional information was not immediately available.

A woman sustained injuries Wednesday after her vehicle became trapped under a truck trailer. Firefighters had to cut her out of the vehicle. The accident occured around 7:35 a.m. on October 22 on southbound Interstate 91 near Exit 27 in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The woman was taken to a hospital once she was removed.
