HIGHLAND TWP. (WWJ) – Donations are pouring in for an Oakland County woman who lost her husband and young son in an ice fishing accident. David Lyons, 30, and Jackson, 4, were pulled by divers out of Alderman Lake in Highland Twp., north of Milford, after they fell through the ice on Monday. The ice on any body of water should be at least 5 inches thick in order to walk, skate and fish on it. Autopsies found both had drowned, and hypothermia also playing a role in Jackson’s death. Jackson was blessed to have such wonderful parents who loved him more than life itself.
