Those in the other car were also hurt, authorities said — although how many people were in that vehicle were not immediately known. It was not immediately known who was at fault for the crash. DETROIT (WWJ) – Two emergency medical technicians were among those injured when an ambulance struck another vehicle and then a utility pole on Detroit’s west side. One of the EMTs  injured was believed to have a broken wrist, according to officials talking to WWJ’s Jon Hewett at the scene. The accident happened at the intersection of Schaefer Hwy. and McNichols Rd. before noon Tuesday, near DMC Sinai Grace Hospital.
