A 21-year-old man was killed early Friday morning when his vehicle was driven off an overpass, crashing onto the road below, according to Michigan State Police.

During the schools 9 a.m. graduation event, it plans to issue Cody Petzold a posthumous undergraduate degree in the School of Education and Human Services.
Cody Petzold, 21, of Holly, Michigan apparently drove his 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck around barricades closing the entrance ramp from westbound 12 Mile Road to southbound I-75 at around 2:40 a.m. As the pickup entered I-75 from the closed ramp, Petzold drove through an additional barricade on the freeway and into the section of the bridge that was under construction. The pickup then drove off of the bridge, turning over, and landed on the roadway below. Petzold was killed by the impact, and a male passenger in the vehicle was brought to a local hospital in unknown condition.
