A pedestrian, identified as Marcia Japowicz, 53, was killed after being hit by multiple vehicles that did not stop in Westland sound of Schley Street just after 8 p.m. Monday on Wayne Road. A witness claims that one driver, a man in his 50's, hit Japowicz, went out to check on her condition, and simply shrugged and drove away. Police say it appears that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
