The Saginaw County crash team was on the scene late Tuesday night investigating the crash that closed the road for some time early Wednesday morning.
Police say that around 10:30 Tuesday night on McCarty Road over the I-675 overpass, a man driving a vehicle crossed the center line, struck the opposite side guardrail, then continued back across the road and struck the opposite guardrail. The man, identified as Steven Kowalewski, 28, was ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency responders arrived. The accident location was at the Saginaw Township and Carrollton Township line.
