Two people were hurt when a car and delivery truck collided Wednesday morning.

Two people were hurt when a car and delivery truck collided Wednesday morning. It happened around 10:35 a.m. at the intersection of 120th Avenue and James Street in Holland Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department. Holland resident 66-year-old Al Tran was headed south on 120th when he failed to stop at a red light, authorities say. His Jeep Cherokee hit the side of a large delivery box truck headed east on James. The impact caused the truck's gas tank to puncture, spilling fuel onto the roadway. Holland Township firefighters were able to contain the gas leak and spill, though James Street was shut down for around two hours as they cleaned up. Tran and his passenger 52-year-old Michelle Tran were taken to Holland Hospital. His injuries were minor. She was also hurt and was listed in stable condition Wednesday afternoon. The driver of the truck, by 45-year-old Stephen Schutte of Holland, was not hurt. Authorities say everyone was wearing their seat belt and that the Trans' air bags deployed properly.
