Unknown number of people injured, taken to hospital, after a multi-vehicle crash, including a Greyhound bus, occurs on I-94 eastbound in Van Buren County.
EB I-94 reopens in Van Buren Co.
Two sections of eastbound I-94 in have reopened in Van Buren County after they were closed due to wrecks. The first wreck, which involved a Greyhound-operated bus and several other vehicles, occurred Thursday morning around 10:30 a.m. just east of Hartford near the 47 mile marker, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. I-94 backed up near Hartford due to a multiple-vehicle wreck. (Feb. 27, 2014) However, shortly after the highway shut down near the wreck, officials lengthened the closure, blocking the eastbound lanes at M-140, which is the Watervliet exit. According to a Greyhound representative, there were passengers on the bus who had to be taken to an area hospital after the wreck. Neither the number of people injured, nor the extent of their injuries, were known.
