1 dead, 1 hospitalized after ORV falls into Montcalm Co. lake

A Michigan State Police sergeant told 24 Hour News 8 the vehicle had four people on it when it drove across the frozen lake and through an area that was fenced off.  It went through the ice where a hole was made for a polar dip that was held Saturday for the festival.

2nd person dies after ORV falls into Montcalm Co. lake

According to a GoFundMe page created for Patin, her CT scan on Saturday showed that her brain had no activity. The post also said Patin remained on life support until everyone could say their final goodbyes and she that “lost her fight” Monday night.
