Driver in fatal U.S.-131 crash freed as drunken driving probe continues(link is external)
The driver of a car involved in a fatal crash early Sunday morning on U.S 131 near Wayland has been freed from custody as authorities await the results of tests to determine what role alcohol may have played in the mishap.
The 20-year-old Grand Rapids woman was being held at the Allegan County Correctional Facility after the vehicle she was driving left U.S. 131 south of the Wayland exit at about 2:40 a.m. on March 19 and crashed.

Kentwood resident Taliyah Zziwambazza, 19, and Bianca Monet Bland, 17, of Grand Rapids, were identified as two passengers who were injured.
