Zeeland motorcyclist injured in four-vehicle crash, second driver jailed

A 45-year-old Zeeland man was taken to jail after police say his car rear-ended a motorcycle on Riley Street, causing a four-vehicle collision.

Lai was stopped on his bike waiting for a light to change when a vehicle driven by Randall Jacobusse struck the back of the bike. The collision caused the motorcycle to ram into the rear of a 2003 Ford Taurus, sending that vehicle into 2006 Ford Focus. Fortunately Lai was wearing a helmet. He was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. No one else was injured in the crash.
