Seven injured, including three children, when semi strikes two vehicles on US-31 in New Era, Michigan
‘Life-threatening' injuries in semi, 2-car crash that shut down SB US-31
Police say a semi driver may have been distracted when he hit a car carrying a Port Huron family on US-31 Tuesday afternoon. Jonathon Ashley(25) of Ludington told police he was looking to the right at a truck leaving the freeway at Stoney Lake Rd. around 12:45 p.m. When he looked back at the road traffic in front of him was slowing. Ashley's Apache Logistics semi hit a Subaru Outback driven by Benjamin Weston of Port Huron, and a Mazda 6 driven by Jerrine Forrest of Pennsylvania. All three vehicles ended up in the median.
