Algoma Twp. man seriously injured in farm tractor accident - WWMT - News, Sports, Weather, Traffic

KENT COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Kent County Sheriff's Department is investigating after a Algoma Township man was seriously injured in a farm tractor accident. The tree began falling toward the tractor, causing the man to jump out as it was still rolling backwards. Deputies say the 67-year-old man was cutting down a tree next to his home when it happened around 3 p.m. The man pre-cut the tree with a chainsaw, and then attached a chain from his tractor bucket to the tree, to pull it away from the home. His wife was able to move the tractor and free the man's legs.
