The driver of a pickup truck was killed Wednesday morning after rolling his truck and hitting a tree in Van Buren County, according to sheriff’s officials. Passing motorists discovered the crash scene and the body of 26-year-old Colin Nagy around 7 a.m. near 28th Avenue west of N. Van Kal Street in Almena Township, which is northeast of Paw Paw, according to the sheriff’s office. Investigators said they believed Nagy was speeding as he was driving west on H Avenue in Kalamazoo County, before crossing over into Van Buren County where the road turned to gravel on 28th Avenue. Nagy then lost control of the pickup, which rolled over and hit some trees, causing Nagy to be ejected and the truck’s cab to separate from its frame, sheriff’s officials said. Investigators said they think the wreck happened sometime early Tuesday morning.
