Three adults and four children injured after van-car collision on M-43 in Almena Township, MI

The cause of the crash is not yet known. It does not appear that speed, alcohol, drugs or texting were contributing factors of the crash.
It was just before 9:00pm when a car containing two children and one adult collided with a van carrying two adults and two children on M-43. The 10-year-old boy, 12-year-old girl, and 39-year-old woman in the car were all seriously injured with broken bones, and the driver of the van, a 25-year-old woman, suffered severe facial injuries. Of the passengers in the van, a 42-year-old man sustained multiple injuries which were not life-threatening, while two children, a 5-month-old and a 2-year-old, suffered only minor injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
