Police say a school bus crashed on an icy western Michigan road and tipped over, leaving several students with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a school bus crashed on an icy western Michigan road and tipped over, leaving several students with what were described as non-life threatening injuries. State police say in a statement that troopers were dispatched to Montcalm County's Fairplain Township, about 25 miles northeast of Grand Rapids, around 6:45 a.m. Friday for the crash involving a Greenville Public Schools bus. Police say they believe the driver lost control of the bus, which came to rest on its side. No other vehicles were involved. The Greenville High School Superintendent stated that about 20 children were on the bus at the time. Police say students were treated at the scene for minor injuries and five were admitted to a hospital for further treatment.
