Snowmobile accident leaves one man dead - Upper Peninsula ABC 10

CALUMET — One man has been pronounced dead after a snowmobile accident Tuesday afternoon. The Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Department, Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, Laurium Police Department, MI-DNR Law Enforcement Divivion, Calumet First Responders, Keweenaw Trail Service and Superior Service all assisted on the scene. Houchin was transported by Mercy Ambulance to UP Health System-Portage and pronounced dead. Michigan State Police Troopers from the Calumet Post were called to the scene at around 1:30 p.m. An MSP Accident investigator was called to the scene and the incident is still under investigation.
