Pedestrian killed after hit by a car

A pedestrian died after he was hit by a car in Newberg Township Sunday morning at around 1:20 a.m. on M-40 north of Withers Street. Duke Gowens, 25, of Cassopolis, Michigan, was in the northbound lane of M-40 when a vehicle hit him. Gowens was pronounced deceased at the crash site.

I have known duke for years he was a really good kid that would help anyone in need he will be truly missed but never forgotten my prayers are with the family cora asia and family

Duke gowens was an outstanding person beautiful personality my cousin that I miss dearly
