A 1983 GMC pickup truck, driven by Frank E. Robinson, 91, Isle, was stopped at 2:43 p.m. Thursday on the westbound shoulder of Highway 18 about 6 miles east of Brainerd, the Minnesota State Patrol reported. He began to turn left from the shoulder when he was struck broadside by a 2016 Kenworth dump truck being driven by Ellen K. Mailhot, 55, Crosby.
