The Minnesota State Patrol says alcohol was involved in a crash Friday night in Howard Lake that left a pedestrian dead.

Kent. C. Mattson, 55, was arrested Friday evening after he ran over a 59-year-old man at Hwy. 12 and 10th Avenue in Howard Lake, according to the State Patrol.

A field sobriety test conducted by officers revealed Mattson was impaired. He agreed to take a breath test, and his alcohol concentration was revealed to be .065.
If convicted, Mattson faces a sentence of 10 years and/or a $20,000 fine.
