2 on motorcycle die in Rochester crash
A car heading south on the 2400 block of Marion Road hit the motorcycle head-on after crossing the centerline, Rochester police said. The crash happened at 3:40 p.m.

Chris Bailey, battalion chief on duty for the Rochester Fire Department, said a vehicle collided with a motorcycle near the 2400 block of Marion Road. The driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were declared dead at the scene, while Sgt. Jared Pankratz, of the Rochester Police Department, said the driver of the vehicle was transported to Saint Mary's Hospital via Gold Cross and is in critical condition.

Rochester police have identified the two people killed in the head-on crash Friday afternoon on Marion Road SE as Curtis Buxton, 56, and Jennifer Buxton, 44, of Rochester. Lt. Gretchen O'Neill said the driver of a Jeep Cherokee that struck their motorcycle head-on is still listed in critical condition at Mayo Clinic-Saint Marys Hospital. He is identified as Jacob Sappington, 20.
