A preliminary state patrol report indicated one vehicle was traveling the wrong way, eastbound, on the interstate when it struck the second vehicle, which was traveling westbound. Three occupants were in each vehicle, the state patrol reported.

Three people from Waukesha were killed in a fiery wrong-way crash on Interstate 90. The Minnesota State Patrol said three other people were also killed.
